Backlash: Oblivion 2 (DVD Box Cover)
Lash is back aching for revenge but along the way she "inherits" a Derconium mine, a rare diamond like mineral.
All she has to do is find it. Along side her is Redeye's brother but opposing her is the mysterious Sweeny who also wants
the mine and the poor Sheriff and the town of Oblivion is in the middle of the war.
Cowboys and aliens, what can be cooler. Now these movies were never meant to be taken too seriously. They were meant to
be a fun experience which lots of tongue and cheek action. The movie is clever but the characters do fall a bit flat at times.
But other then that Backlash was even better then the first movie. 8 STARS.
The story is a tad weak, they use a lot of lame dialog as filler. It's good, don't get me wrong but I feel that both movies
are missing something, but I just can't place my finger on it. 7 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CAST (An amazing cast for such a low budget Full Moon film.)
+ STORY (Cool, basic, but cool.)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are cool.)
+ CHARACTERS (Flat but interesting.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- FLAT CHARACTERS (The characters fall a little flat.)
- SOMETHING IS MISSING (VOLTRON feels there is something missing but he can't quite figure out what.)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on Sci-Fi/Westerns or didn't like the first movie, then this isn't for you.)
